BECOME THE DIVER OTHERS CAN RELY ON

Build confidence. Prevent problems. Learn how to respond when it matters.

This is where you become a different kind of diver.

Until now, most of your dive training has focused on you, your buoyancy, your skills, your dive plan and your safety.

The PADI Rescue Diver course changes that.

You'll learn to recognise problems before they become emergencies, manage stress in yourself and other divers, and respond effectively to challenging situations both at the surface and underwater.

It’s practical, challenging and incredibly rewarding. For many divers, it’s the course that changes the way they dive forever.

Three days. Realistic rescue scenarios. A whole new level of confidence underwater.

ANTICIPATE

Learn to recognise stress, identify potential problems and prevent small situations from becoming emergencies.

Rescue isn't just about reacting, it's about becoming a more aware diver.

RESPOND

Practise assisting tired, panicked and unresponsive divers through realistic exercises in the pool and ocean.

You'll learn what to do, how to stay calm and how to take control of a situation.

LEAD

Finish the course with a completely different awareness of what's happening around you underwater.

You'll become more confident in your own abilities and a stronger, more dependable buddy.

You need to hold a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification or an accepted qualifying certification from another training organisation.

You need qualifying CPR and first-aid training completed within the required period for Rescue Diver certification. If you don't have this, you can complete EFR with us alongside your Rescue course.

The Rescue Diver course takes three days of practical training, with eLearning completed separately.

It's more challenging than your previous recreational courses, but that's part of what makes it so rewarding. Your instructor introduces the skills progressively before combining them into realistic rescue scenarios.

You'll practise realistic simulated emergencies with your instructor and other students. No unsuspecting divers will be sacrificed for your training :-)

Some rescue exercises can be physically demanding, including assisting or towing another diver. Your instructor will teach you techniques designed to make rescues as safe and effective as possible.

You'll be presented with simulated diving emergencies and asked to assess the situation and respond using the techniques you've learned during the course.

Meet us at Blue Marlin Dive Kuta Lombok. Day 1 begins at 08:30, while Days 2 and 3 begin at 07:45.

Your BCD, regulator, mask, wetsuit, fins and computer are included.

Yes. You'll complete a standard diver medical questionnaire before diving. Depending on your answers, you may need medical clearance from a doctor before participating.

We take a maximum of four students per instructor.

A qualifying CPR and first-aid certification may be accepted. Send us the details of your certification and we can check it before your course.
