While some of Indonesia's best-known diving destinations can be busy above and below the surface, the South and Southeast coast of Lombok remains relatively unexplored. From colourful reefs and dramatic walls to tiny macro life and the possibility of passing pelagics, South Lombok offers adventurous diving in an area that remains remarkably untouched. It's not unusual for our divers to have a dive site entirely to themselves.
With Blue Marlin Dive Kuta Lombok, you'll explore the reefs of the Alas Strait and the protected Tanjung Ringgit coastline in small groups of no more than four divers per guide.
The underwater landscape is wonderfully varied. You'll find healthy tropical reefs, slopes, cave swim-through and dramatic walls, with dive sites ranging from around 5 metres to much deeper scenaries for experienced divers.
Visibility varies with the conditions and can range from approximately 8 to 30 metres, while water temperatures can vary from around 21°C to 29°C.
Currents are part of what makes this region so dynamic. Conditions can sometimes be challenging, which is why we select our dive sites each day according to the ocean, weather and experience of the divers on board.
Marine life ranges from colourful reef fish and fascinating macro creatures to occasional encounters with larger pelagic species passing through the Alas Strait. Thresher sharks, mobula rays, eagle rays, manta rays and other pelagics have all been encountered in the region, although sightings are never guaranteed.
Whether you've just completed your Open Water course or have hundreds of dives under your belt, we'll group you with divers of a similar certification and experience level whenever possible.
With a maximum of four divers per Divemaster or Instructor, we can select dive sites suited to the conditions and your group's experience.

Your day begins at our dive centre in Kuta Lombok, before we travel together across South Lombok to our mangrove jetty.
From there, we head out by boat towards the dive sites of the Alas Strait and Tanjung Ringgit.

All certified divers are welcome. We group divers according to certification and experience whenever possible and choose dive sites to suit the group and conditions.
Absolutely! If it has been more than a year since your last dive, you'll need to complete our Quick Refresher on your diving day. If it has been more than 2 years, we recommend a Full Refresher in the pool the day before joining the dive trip.
