Frequently asked questions
Here are some common questions about the course.
For the course, you need to be able to float/tread water for 10 minutes without using any swim aids and complete a 200 metre/yard continuous surface swim or a 300 metre/yard swim with mask, fins and snorkel.
No prior experience is required. Our instructors will teach you the basic techniques and safety procedures before the activity begins.
During the course, you’ll learn the essential scuba skills needed to dive safely and confidently. These include regulator recovery and replacement, clearing water from your mask, buoyancy control, proper use of scuba equipment, underwater communication using hand signals, and basic safety skills such as air sharing and safe ascents. All skills are taught step-by-step and practiced with your instructor until you feel comfortable in the water.
Groups are kept small with a maximum of 4 divers per instructor, in line with PADI standards. This ensures a high level of safety while allowing each participant to receive personal attention and guidance throughout the experience.
Once we receive the payment, we will release the PADI online theory so you can begin studying before the course starts. The theory consists of five knowledge reviews and quizzes, and concludes with a final exam. Each chapter typically takes around 1–1.5 hours to complete.
To make the most of your in-water training, we recommend completing at least the first three knowledge reviews and quizzes before the first day of the course.
Sharks do live in the ocean, so it’s always possible that they are present somewhere in the wider area. The waters we operate in are well-known, and our guides are trained to monitor the environment and prioritize safety at all times.
Yes, you can still dive while on your period. It does not affect your ability to join the activity.
Ear discomfort is common for beginners and our instructors are trained to help. We’ll take things slow and at your own pace, teaching you proper equalization techniques to make pressure changes comfortable. With guidance and practice, most participants are able to dive safely and enjoyably.
